For some reason I find myself praying to departed relatives and friends for help , although they have long since departed . Am I the only one ?
Do you find yourself praying to departed relatives or friends from time to time ?
Yes, it's comforting to think that your past relatives are looking down on you or are in your presence. I sometimes ask them to give me strength or just watch over me and other I love. I will let them know how my life is and how I wish they were here.
Reply:What can they do for you you're only suppose to pray to God the father don't let let the devil creep up in your life and make you find comfort in any such thing pray to God he is the great comforter
Reply:Yes of course especially when i need guidance
Reply:No because they can't hear me. But I DO ask my Father to deliver a message for me now and then, in Christ's name of course.
Reply:It must be very comforting to feel that you are somehow maintaining a link with loved ones.
However, I am strongly convicted that we should pray to none other than the Lord God Almighty and at all times through our saviour Jesus.
When it comes to spiritual matters you should always assume that it is either of God or it's of satan the great deceiver. Do not allow him to draw you into spiritism and away from God.
Reply:I don't pray to them but I do and have talked to them because I believe they are with Jesus and he hears me.
Reply:This question is a bit different so I will answer accordingly. In the past I have prayed to check in with past relatives. A quick prayer to say thank you and fill them in on important events. It often makes me feel better knowing that I am paying my respects and remembering them for they can always live on in our hearts and souls.
Reply:Hi, Yes i do too.Your not alone..I talk to my mom and other loved ones who have passed away all the time.
Even though they are in heaven with Jesus and God, they are still watching over us.
Thats what i believe.
I talk to God and Jesus also, like they were just standing or sitting beside me too.
Hope this helps to answer your question.
