I would like to get contact with old friends in Australia. Could suggest ways to find them?

I used to live in Sydney more than 10 years ago, and lost contact with many of good friends I met there after I returned to Japan. Today, I happened to read old letters from them, and came to think that it might be nice to send a few words to them. Can you think of good ways to find out their whereabouts?

If you know their last names, you can try using Australian Whitepages, but this only works if they are the phone account holder at their address. Otherwise, if they are your school friends, you can contact your school and see if they keep track of their emails and such. Another way to find them if they're your school/university friends, is to see if they've formed a community in LiveJournal. You can also try locating them at Friendster. Hope that helps.

Reply:If you know anyone there that used to hang out with you, contact them. If you still have phone #'s or addresses of their parents, I would contact them, that's what I did when I wanted to find a high school friend. If that doesn't work, people search them online, but it isn't free, there will be a fee for you to obtain that service.
