What is the best way to find gay friends other than the net?

I was wondering, Where or how can I find gay friends or maybe someone I can have a relationship with. I know you're all thinking... DUH! The Internet. Well, I am looking for a different alternative... i can already see the answers being... "At a gay club" Yeah, but HOW exactly do I find a GAY CLUB?

What is the best way to find gay friends other than the net?
Gay club is one answer - and usually you can find a local area link to gay organizations by searching for 'gay' and your home town name on Google.





Another is in volunteering with organizations - things like phone lines, help organizations for AIDS etc.





I met my partner of five years through gay square dance (yeh, I know! But it's not like high school square dancing) It's a lot of fun and caters to all kinds of tastes - including bear clubs, leather clubs etc. We all just enjoy fun dancing to high energy music. well I am gay (so avalible for friendship) the web can be hard way to meet gay people but sometimes you can. You can search for gay clubs in your area on line, then go with a female freind. Also there might be a lesbian, gay, bi group near you, which could help!!
Reply:I have been trying to find gay friends all my life. Problem is they all want to get into my pants and when they don't, they're gone. So I have given up on finding gay friends. All my friends are straight and it works just fine for me.

Reply:Face to face and through other friends and chat lines like Lovalife. It depends on where you live as far a gay clubs but you can basically find them in newspapers and like I said before through friends. You can also go to any club and find that out because just about every club has a night for us.
